Human Cardiac Troponin-I/cTnI ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Cardiac Troponin-I (cTnI), a cardiac-muscle protein released into the bloodstream following myocardial injury and widely used as a biomarker for acute myocardial infarction and cardiac damage assessment.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout and has a sensitivity of 7.5 pg/mL over a measuring range of 12.5–800 pg/mL. It is validated for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and cell or tissue lysate samples. Reported linearity in serum spans roughly 85–104% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, with comparable performance in EDTA and heparin plasma, and spike-and-recovery averages of approximately 92–96% across the same matrices.

The workflow involves reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation of around 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding (60 min), HRP-streptavidin binding (30 min), TMB colour development in the dark (10–20 min), and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding the stop solution.
