The CEACAM7 protein, a membrane-bound glycoprotein in the carcinoembryonic antigen family, plays a role in cell-cell adhesion and is predominantly expressed in normal colonic epithelium. Researchers use this Assay Genie ELISA to quantify CEACAM7 levels in tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting studies of gastrointestinal cancer biology and tumor marker discovery.
The microplate-based kit includes pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and a serial dilution standard set. Reagents should be stored at 4°C, and the standard curve is best prepared fresh for each run. The assay is intended for in vitro research use only and supports investigations into colorectal and pancreatic cancer pathways, where altered CEACAM7 expression has been linked to disease progression.
