Human Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 5 (CEACAM5) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 5 (CEACAM5) in research samples. The kit is reactive with human specimens and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.32ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.5% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 10.2% (CV). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human CEACAM5.

CEACAM5, also known by the synonyms CEA, CD66e and Meconium antigen 100 (UniProt P06731), is a GPI-anchored cell-surface glycoprotein that forms homodimers and contributes to cell adhesion and intracellular signalling, and acts as a receptor for E.coli Dr adhesins. The kit is intended for research use only within the cancer research area.
