A cell-surface glycoprotein of the CEA immunoglobulin superfamily, CEACAM1 (also known as CD66a or biliary glycoprotein) mediates intercellular adhesion, immune regulation, angiogenesis, and modulation of insulin receptor signaling. This Assay Genie kit provides quantitative measurement of CEACAM1 in human research samples, supporting investigations in oncology, vascular biology, immunology, and metabolic disease.

The kit is supplied as a complete 96-assay microplate format with a colorimetric readout compatible with standard laboratory plate readers. Components include the pre-coated plate, calibrated standards, detection antibody, substrate solution, wash buffer, and other reagents required to perform the full protocol. Sample incubation steps are carried out at room temperature, and the kit is intended for research use only.

CEACAM1 quantification is widely applied in studies of solid tumor progression, immune cell function, and metabolic regulation. Elevated CEACAM1 expression has been reported in melanoma, lung, colorectal, and hepatocellular carcinoma tissues, and altered circulating levels have been associated with insulin resistance and inflammatory states. By offering reproducible quantification across diverse human sample matrices, this kit supports translational and basic research programs that require reliable measurement of CEACAM1 in samples such as serum or plasma fractions, conditioned cell culture media, or cell lysates.
