Human Carboxypeptidase N subunit 2 (CPN2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human Carboxypeptidase N subunit 2 (CPN2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human CPN2, and the colourimetric reaction is read on a microplate reader set to 450 nm.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 103% (range 97–109%) for serum and 105% (range 99–111%) for plasma, and dilution linearity has been demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. CPN2 is the 83 kDa subunit that binds and stabilises the catalytic subunit at 37 °C and keeps it in circulation; the native protein is a tetramer of two catalytic chains and two glycosylated inactive chains (UniProt P22792; molecular weight 60,557 Da; chromosomal location 3q29; gene CPN2, also known as ACBP).
