Human Carboxypeptidase E/CPE ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative measurement of Carboxypeptidase E (CPE) in human samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is suitable for research into CPE biology, an enzyme involved in the processing of neuropeptides and hormones, with roles in neurotransmission, hormone regulation, and protein processing. Dysregulation of CPE has been implicated in Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and cancer, making it a useful biomarker for investigating these conditions.

According to the manufacturer, the kit shows a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. It is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. In linearity testing, serum (n=5) ranged 91-103% at 1:2, 82-97% at 1:4, and 82-86% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged 87-101%, 90-100%, and 84-100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) ranged 89-98%, 83-101%, and 83-100%. Recovery averaged 95% for serum (range 86-100%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 86-102%), and 92% for heparin plasma (range 85-100%).

The assay uses a pre-coated plate, a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
