Human Carboxypeptidase B2 (CPB2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the accurate quantification of Human Carboxypeptidase B2 (CPB2), also referred to by the synonyms Carboxypeptidase U, Plasma carboxypeptidase B, Thrombin-activable fibrinolysis inhibitor, CPU, pCPB and TAFI. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Carboxypeptidase B2 and is for research use only.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Reported performance is a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.145 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery averages 109% (range 103–115%) in serum and 111% (range 105–117%) in plasma. According to the manufacturer, CPB2 dysregulation has been linked to thrombotic disorders and inflammatory conditions, making this kit relevant for studies of disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies.

Carboxypeptidase B2 (UniProt Q96IY4) is a secreted metalloenzyme of the peptidase M14 family that cleaves C-terminal arginine or lysine residues from biologically active peptides such as kinins and anaphylatoxins, and down-regulates fibrinolysis by removing C-terminal lysine residues from fibrin partially degraded by plasmin. The product is intended for cell biology research.
