Human Carboxypeptidase B (CPB1) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for the precise quantitative measurement of human Carboxypeptidase B (CPB1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Carboxypeptidase B1 is a tissue-specific zinc metallocarboxypeptidase (EC 3.4.17.2) involved in proteolysis through cleavage of C-terminal arginine and lysine residues, and is cited in the literature as a serum marker for acute pancreatitis and dysfunction of pancreatic transplants.

The kit has a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5), with values spanning 87–116% in serum, 89–115% in EDTA plasma and 100–117% in heparin plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human CPB1 and is intended for research use only in cell biology applications.

Reagents are stored at –20 °C, with wash buffer, substrate and stop solution stored at 4 °C. Shipment is on cold pack at +4 °C. Required but not supplied equipment includes a microplate reader with a 450 nm filter, multichannel pipette, pipette, microcentrifuge tubes, disposable pipette tips, incubator, deionized or distilled water, absorbent paper and a buffer reservoir.
