Human Carboxypeptidase A2 (CPA2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of human Carboxypeptidase A2 (CPA2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant human CPA2 and is intended for research use only.

CPA2 is a secreted, zinc-dependent metallocarboxypeptidase (EC 3.4.17.15) that acts on aromatic C-terminal residues and contributes to protein digestion and blood clotting. Dysregulation of CPA2 has been associated with pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these diseases and developing potential therapeutic interventions.

The colorimetric ELISA has a detection range of 1.56-100 U/L with a sensitivity of 0.78 U/L. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Linearity has been verified across serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples, and spike-and-recovery in serum and plasma matrices averages 81% and 83%, respectively.
