Human Carbonic Anhydrase III, Muscle Specific (CA3) ELISA Kit

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is calibrated for research use only and measures human Carbonic Anhydrase III (CA3), the muscle-specific zinc metalloenzyme (~29 kDa) encoded at chromosome 8q13.1. CA3 accumulates in type I (slow-twitch) skeletal muscle fibers, where it represents roughly 2–5% of soluble cytosolic protein, and is not appreciably expressed in cardiac or smooth muscle, which makes its circulating signal a more skeletal-muscle-specific readout than enzymes such as creatine kinase for studies of exercise-induced muscle damage, rhabdomyolysis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and drug-induced myotoxicity screening.

Each kit contains reagents for 96 determinations and is validated with tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, and human serum or plasma specimens, supporting longitudinal tracking of sarcolemmal disruption and recovery in neuromuscular disease research, sports physiology, and pharmaceutical safety workflows. Antibody and conjugate components should be kept refrigerated and equilibrated to room temperature before use; the kit carries a 12-month shelf life and is labeled for research use only.
