Human Carbonic anhydrase 4 (CA4) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human carbonic anhydrase 4 (CA4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human CA4 (UniProt P22748) and is supplied for research use only.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Recovery in serum averages 87% (range 81-93%) and in plasma averages 89% (range 83-95%). Linearity is demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. CA4 is a GPI-anchored membrane zinc metalloenzyme that catalyses the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide, contributes to pH homeostasis, and has been associated with retinitis pigmentosa type 17.
