Human Carbohydrate Antigen 50 (CA50) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA enables quantitative measurement of human Carbohydrate Antigen 50 (CA50), a carbohydrate antigen linked to various cancers, particularly gastrointestinal and pancreatic cancers. The assay is reactive with human samples and recognises both natural and recombinant CA50. Validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the kit supports research applications in cancer biology, where monitoring CA50 can aid in early cancer detection, prognosis assessment and treatment monitoring. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 3.12-200 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.79 ng/mL. Recovery averages 96% for serum (range 90-102%) and 98% for plasma (range 92-104%), with an intra-CV of 4.3% and inter-CV of 7.5%. Dilutional linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
