Human CAPN6/Calpain 6 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human CAPN6 (Calpain 6) ELISA Kit is a sandwich, double-antibody assay designed for the precise quantification of calpain-6 in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit employs a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research applications.

Calpain-6 is a member of the calpain family of proteins and plays a role in cellular processes such as cytoskeletal remodelling, cell adhesion, and signal transduction. Dysregulation of calpain-6 has been associated with cancer, muscular dystrophy, and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for understanding these conditions and for developing potential treatments.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards and samples, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm.
