Human cAMP-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit beta (PRKACB) ELISA Kit

The kit is reactive with human samples and is intended for research use only.

PRKACB is a catalytic subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase that mediates cAMP-dependent signalling triggered by receptor binding to GPCRs. PKA activation regulates diverse cellular processes including cell proliferation, the cell cycle, differentiation, regulation of microtubule dynamics, chromatin condensation and decondensation, nuclear envelope disassembly and reassembly, and regulation of intracellular transport mechanisms and ion flux. Dysregulation of PRKACB has been implicated in cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for cardiovascular and related research. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human PRKACB (UniProt P22694).

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 20 pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 10.9%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, and recovery ranges from 97–109% in serum (average 103%) and 99–111% in plasma (average 105%).
