Human Calumenin/CALU ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human Calumenin/CALU ELISA Kit is a sandwich, double-antibody immunoassay designed for the precise measurement of calumenin levels in human samples. Calumenin is a protein involved in calcium binding and intracellular signaling, and dysregulation of its expression has been linked to several diseases such as cancer and neurological disorders, making it a key biomarker for studying these conditions.

It is intended for use with human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been validated across dilutions: in serum (n=5), 94-100% at 1:2, 85-105% at 1:4, and 87-104% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5), 83-97%, 86-99%, and 89-101%; and in Heparin plasma (n=5), 86-98%, 80-95%, and 80-97%. Overall recovery ranges are 86-103% (average 96%) for serum, 92-103% (96%) for EDTA plasma, and 86-102% (95%) for Heparin plasma. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
