Human Calreticulin (CRT) ELISA Kit

Calreticulin is a roughly 46 kDa calcium-binding chaperone that resides in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum, where it directs nascent protein folding, buffers luminal calcium, and contributes to ER-associated degradation of misfolded glycoproteins. The same molecule is translocated to the plasma membrane during immunogenic cell death, where it acts as an 'eat-me' signal for macrophages and dendritic cells. This microplate-based immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured for research use only to quantify calreticulin in human specimens, supporting investigations of ER stress, immunogenic cell death in oncology, autoimmune disease, and protein-quality-control research.

The kit is supplied as a single-use pack of reagents, including pre-coated microplate wells, a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized calibrators and assay controls, wash concentrate, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution. After incubation with the chromogen, absorbance is read on a standard plate reader and concentrations are interpolated from the calibrator curve. Reagent vials and reconstituted standards should be refrigerated and protected from light; for long-term storage, aliquot the conjugate and freeze the standard at -20 degrees C, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working conjugate.
