The Assay Genie human calprotectin PharmaGenie ELISA provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring the circulating L1 antigen, the calcium- and zinc-binding S100-A8/A9 heterodimer (also known as MRP8/MRP14) that constitutes roughly half of neutrophil cytoplasmic protein and is actively secreted during innate immune activation. Researchers investigating neutrophil recruitment in rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, sepsis, and tumor-associated inflammation use this kit to track the intact L1 complex as a translational marker of granulocyte engagement.
Configured for in vitro research use only, the kit is validated across three human specimen categories: cell culture supernatants, plasma, and serum. Each kit is supplied as a 96 assays package with the reagents required to generate a standard curve and quantify unknowns. Capture antibodies recognize epitopes on both S100-A8 and S100-A9 subunits, preserving measurement of the native heterodimer rather than dissociated monomers.
Assay Genie's reagents support immunology, gastroenterology, and oncology laboratories investigating S100 family biology, antimicrobial calprotectin function, and biomarker discovery for chronic neutrophilic inflammation.
