Human Calpastatin (CAST) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Calpastatin (CAST) in human biological samples. The assay targets natural and recombinant human calpastatin, an endogenous inhibitor of the calpain family of calcium-dependent cysteine proteases that is involved in processes such as apoptosis, cytoskeletal remodeling, and signal transduction. Dysregulation of calpastatin has been implicated in conditions including muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer's disease, and cancer, making it a relevant target for research into novel treatments.

The kit uses a colorimetric sandwich ELISA detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.
