Human CALC2/Calcitonin gene-related peptide 2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit provides a quantitative method for measuring Calcitonin gene-related peptide 2 (CALC2) in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich configuration, with colour developed using TMB substrate and absorbance read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL and the working range is 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

CALC2 is a neuropeptide involved in physiological processes such as inflammation, pain perception and vasodilation, and its dysregulation has been implicated in migraine, fibromyalgia and other pain disorders, making it a useful biomarker for research in these areas. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (90–100% at 1:2, 83–101% at 1:4, 80–97% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (88–100%, 85–99%, 86–98%) and heparin plasma (95–103%, 94–100%, 84–96%). Spike-and-recovery performance is reported as serum 85–101% (average 97%), EDTA plasma 93–105% (average 99%) and heparin plasma 85–104% (average 92%). Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
