Human Calbindin (CALB1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of human calbindin (CALB1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human calbindin and is supplied for research use only.

The kit reports a detection range of 6.25–400 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 2.1 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.5% and inter-assay CV is 8.9%. Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions: serum ranges 84–94%, 109–119%, 82–91% and 97–108%; EDTA plasma ranges 110–119%, 84–96%, 99–108% and 96–106%; and heparin plasma ranges 91–100%, 91–101%, 94–103% and 104–114%. Spike-and-recovery performance gives an average of 93% (87–99%) for serum and 95% (89–101%) for plasma.

Calbindin (UniProt P05937) is a calcium-binding protein that buffers cytosolic calcium and may stimulate a membrane Ca²⁺-ATPase and a 3′,5′-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase.
