Human Cadherin-5 (CDH5) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Cadherin-5 (CDH5), also referred to as VE-cadherin, CD144, 7B4 antigen, or vascular endothelial cadherin. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Cadherin-5 and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.

Manufacturer-reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.4%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (95–104%, 91–101%, 110–119%, 95–105%), EDTA plasma (96–106%, 93–104%, 101–111%, 103–112%), and heparin plasma (112–122%, 104–104%, 101–112%, 89–99%) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery averaged 99% (range 93–105) in serum and 101% (range 95–107) in plasma.

Cadherin-5 is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion glycoprotein involved in endothelial cell-cell junctions and vascular biology, with research relevance to angiogenesis, cardiovascular disorders, cancer, and inflammatory conditions. For research use only.
