Human Cadherin-11 (CDH11) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables the accurate and sensitive detection of human Cadherin-11 (CDH11) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection format and is configured for use with human samples.

Performance specifications reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 10.3%. Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (104-113% to 99-110%), EDTA plasma (84-97% to 88-98%) and heparin plasma (113-122% to 92-103%). Average recovery is 101% in serum (range 95-107%) and 103% in plasma (range 97-109%). Specificity is described for natural and recombinant human Cadherin-11, also referred to by the synonyms OSF-4, Osteoblast cadherin and OB-cadherin.

Cadherin-11 is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein that preferentially interacts with itself in a homophilic manner to connect cells, and may contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. According to the manufacturer, dysregulation of CDH11 has been implicated in conditions including cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and fibrosis, making it a useful biomarker for research applications.
