The Assay Genie Human CA72-4 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Cancer Antigen 72-4 (TAG-72), a mucin-like glycoprotein originally defined by the monoclonal antibody B72.3. CA72-4 is widely used as a serological tumor marker with established clinical utility for monitoring patients with gastrointestinal malignancies, particularly gastric carcinoma, where it provides complementary information to CEA, and for follow-up of ovarian and colorectal cancers. The assay supports research into epithelial tumor biology, mucin expression patterns, and biomarker panels such as CA72-4 combined with CA 125 for ovarian cancer evaluation.
