Human CA6/Carbonic Anhydrase VI ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this competitive immunoassay is coated with antibody and read colorimetrically for the in vitro quantitative determination of carbonic anhydrase VI (CA6) in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit reacts with human samples and is supplied with a dismountable microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer and dilution buffers.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.602ng/ml and a range of 1-64ng/ml, with intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%. Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) was 87-100% (average 93%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 91-105% (average 98%), and in UFH plasma (n=5) 86-102% (average 95%). Linearity of spiked serial dilutions ranged from 82% to 103% across serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months and is for research use only. CA6 is described as a secreted enzyme of the alpha-carbonic anhydrase family involved in reversible hydration of carbon dioxide, with dysregulation linked to metabolic disorders, kidney stones and autoimmune conditions.
