Human CA125 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of CA125 in human samples, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double antibody format to measure the target across serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. CA125 is also referenced as CA-125, Carbohydrate Antigen 125, MUC16, and Mucin 16 (UniProt Q8WXI7). The assay delivers a detection range of 1.563–100 IU/mL with a sensitivity of 0.938 IU/mL.

The protocol progresses through reagent equilibration, a 90-minute primary antigen binding incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin incubation, and TMB substrate colour development in the dark, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C (protected from direct light where indicated) and the kit is stable for 12 months under those conditions.

Performance has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, and recovery is provided for the same sample types, supporting consistent and reproducible measurement in research applications.
