Human C6 (Complement C6) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie provides a high-sensitivity, double-antibody method for quantitative measurement of complement component C6 (Uniprot P13671) in human samples. The assay is intended for immunology research applications, including studies of immune system function, inflammatory processes, autoimmune diseases and immune system disorders, where complement C6 serves as a valuable biomarker of the body's ability to target and eliminate pathogens.

The colorimetric kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It has a stated sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625–40 ng/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Key procedure steps include primary incubation at 37 °C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, and TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes before stop solution is added. The kit should be stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months.

Validation data supplied with the kit include linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (serum 86–104%, 82–95%, 80–95%; EDTA plasma 80–100%, 86–103%, 83–101%; heparin plasma 91–104%, 83–92%, 85–96%) and recovery ranges for serum (86–101%, average 94%), EDTA plasma (87–105%, average 98%) and heparin plasma (89–101%, average 93%).
