C5a is a 74-amino-acid cleavage fragment generated during complement cascade activation, where it serves as a potent chemoattractant for neutrophils and other myeloid cells at sites of inflammation.

The kit is configured for 96 assays in a microplate format, uses an absorbance-based chromogenic readout, and is validated for use with cell culture supernatant samples, plasma-type specimens, and serum-type specimens collected from human donors.
