C4BPA, also referred to as C4bp, C4BP or proline-rich protein (PRP), is a key regulator of the classical complement pathway. Dysregulation of C4BPA has been associated with autoimmune disorders, inflammatory conditions and infectious diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for immunology research. The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant human C4BPA.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.56ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with values spanning 80-125%. Recovery is 98% (92-104%) for serum and 100% (94-106%) for plasma.
