Human C4 Binding Protein Beta (C4BPb) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human C4 Binding Protein Beta (C4BPb) in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The kit is for research use only and is reported to have a shelf life of 12 months.

Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 0.17ng/mL and a working range of 0.468-30ng/mL. Spike-and-recovery testing gave recoveries of 80-102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity was demonstrated by serial dilution of spiked samples at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same three matrices. Intra-assay precision is reported as CV <10% and inter-assay precision as CV <12%, while the stability of the kit is described as a loss of activity of less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions.
