Human C3a/Complement 3a ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of human C3a (Complement Component 3a) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other biological fluids. The workflow relies on a pre-coated capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin binding and a colorimetric TMB substrate step, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL. Linearity for serum (n=5) is reported as 88–101% at 1:2, 85–103% at 1:4 and 95–105% at 1:8 dilution; EDTA plasma (n=5) gives 85–101%, 84–99% and 86–98%; heparin plasma (n=5) gives 87–99%, 87–98% and 83–95%. Recovery averages 99% (range 90–104%) for serum, 91% (range 87–97%) for EDTA plasma and 97% (range 93–105%) for heparin plasma.

The kit is supplied for research use only and components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Additional materials required include a 37°C incubator, a plate reader with a 450 nm filter, precision pipettes and distilled water.
