Human C1S/Complement C1s subcomponent ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Complement C1s subcomponent (C1s) in research samples. Built on a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the assay is validated for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. The kit is intended for storage at 2–8°C and is reported to remain stable for 12 months under those conditions. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (89–105%, average 99%), EDTA plasma (86–101%, average 94%) and heparin plasma (88–103%, average 96%).

C1s is a serine protease that, together with C1q and C1r, forms the C1 complex — the first component of the classical complement pathway. Within this pathway C1s cleaves and activates C2 and C4, supporting immunological research into complement-mediated mechanisms in infection, inflammation and autoimmune disease.
