Human C-X-C motif chemokine 2 (CXCL2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a solid-phase sandwich ELISA for the quantitative determination of human C-X-C motif chemokine 2 (CXCL2) in research applications. The assay is designed for accurate measurement of CXCL2 in human serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants, and is relevant to immunology research. CXCL2, also known as macrophage inflammatory protein-2 alpha (MIP-2 alpha), is a chemokine produced by activated monocytes and neutrophils and expressed at sites of inflammation, where it acts as a hematoregulatory chemokine that, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.3% (CV) and inter-assay precision at 10.8% (CV). Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery is reported as an average of 104% (range 98-110%) for serum and 106% (range 100-112%) for plasma.

Sample types accepted include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity described for natural and recombinant human C-X-C motif chemokine 2.
