Human C-X-C motif chemokine 16 (CXCL16) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human C-X-C Motif Chemokine 16 (CXCL16) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses colorimetric detection and is specific for natural and recombinant human CXCL16.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 30pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 2.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Linearity has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Serum recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) and plasma recovery averages 90% (range 84-96%).

CXCL16 is a chemokine involved in immune responses and inflammatory processes. It acts as a scavenger receptor on macrophages, binding oxidised low density lipoprotein (OxLDL), and triggers chemotactic responses and calcium mobilisation via CXCR6/Bonzo.
