Human C-X-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CXCR2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human C-X-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CXCR2). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

CXCR2 is a key G-protein-coupled chemokine receptor for interleukin-8, a powerful neutrophil chemotactic factor. Binding of IL-8 to the receptor activates neutrophils via a G-protein coupled to a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The receptor also binds with high affinity to CXCL3, GRO/MGSA, and NAP-2. Dysregulation of CXCR2 has been implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders, and respiratory diseases.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.086 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 7.9%. Recovery in serum averaged 99% (range 93-105%) and in plasma averaged 101% (range 95-107%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human CXCR2 and is intended for research use only.
