Human C-Peptide (C-Peptide) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of C-peptide levels in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. C-peptide is produced in the pancreas alongside insulin and elevated levels are associated with diabetes, insulin resistance, and metabolic disorders. The kit is for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 10.2%. Specificity is for natural and recombinant human C-Peptide, and the kit is suited to metabolism research.

Average recovery is 102% for serum (range 96-108%) and 104% for plasma (range 98-110%). Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma was demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader.
