Human c-Fos ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human FOS (c-Fos) concentrations in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids, with detection performed colorimetrically. The assay is designed to quantify c-Fos protein levels in human samples including cell culture supernatants, making it suitable for research into gene regulation, cell signalling, and disease mechanisms.

c-Fos is a proto-oncogenic transcription factor of the bZIP family that dimerises with JUN family proteins to form the AP-1 transcription factor complex. It regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation, and its dysregulation has been associated with cancer, inflammatory disorders, and neurological conditions. The human FOS gene maps to chromosomal region 14q24.3 (UniProt P01100).

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.188ng/ml and a standard range of 0.313-20ng/ml. Spiked recovery rates ranged from 90-100% (average 95%) in serum, 87-102% (average 93%) in EDTA plasma, and 89-100% (average 95%) in UFH plasma. Intra-Assay precision is CV<8% and Inter-Assay CV<10%. The kit should be stored at 4°C for 6 months and is supplied for research use only.
