Human C-C motif chemokine 17 (CCL17) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human C-C motif chemokine 17 (CCL17), also known as TARC (thymus and activation-regulated chemokine). The assay is reactive with human samples and detects both natural and recombinant CCL17, supporting research in immunology and inflammation.

The colorimetric detection method provides a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 34pg/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.7% and inter-assay CV is 8.3%. Linearity for serum (N=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was 99-108%, 86-98%, 109-118% and 90-99% respectively; EDTA plasma (N=5) was 103-113%, 99-110%, 99-108% and 86-96%; heparin plasma (N=5) was 92-101%, 92-101%, 80-90% and 81-91%. Recovery in serum averaged 95% (range 89-101%) and in plasma averaged 97% (range 91-103%). The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

CCL17 functions as a chemotactic factor for T-lymphocytes but not monocytes or granulocytes and binds to the CCR4 receptor, with roles in T-cell development in the thymus and in trafficking and activation of mature T-cells.
