Human C-C motif chemokine 16 (CCL16) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human C-C motif chemokine 16 (CCL16) in biological samples, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for research use only. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and recognises natural and recombinant human CCL16.

The kit is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 35 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Recovery in serum averages 101% (range 95-107%) and in plasma averages 103% (range 97-109%).

CCL16, also referred to as HCC-4, is a secreted chemokine of the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family that shows chemotactic activity for lymphocytes and monocytes but not neutrophils, and displays myelosuppressive activity that suppresses proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. The kit is suited to research applications in immunology, including the study of inflammation and immune-mediated processes.
