Human C-C chemokine receptor type 1 (CCR1) ELISA Kit

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is labelled for research use only.

Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a detection range of 6.25-400 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 3 pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery was 84% (range 80-90%) in serum and 86% (range 80-92%) in plasma. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human CCR1.

CCR1 is a multi-pass G-protein coupled receptor situated in the cell membrane (UniProt P32246) that binds MIP-1-alpha, MIP-1-delta, RANTES and MCP-3, transducing signals by raising intracellular calcium ion levels. It has documented roles in immune cell recruitment, inflammatory responses and stem cell proliferation, and falls within the Signal Transduction research area.
