Human Butyrylcholinesterase/BCHE ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise quantification of Butyrylcholinesterase (BCHE) levels in human biological samples. Butyrylcholinesterase is an enzyme involved in the breakdown of choline esters, playing a critical role in neurotransmission and drug metabolism. Dysregulation of BCHE activity has been linked to health conditions including Alzheimer's disease, organophosphate poisoning, and liver disorders, making it a key biomarker for studying these diseases and exploring potential therapeutic interventions.

Using a colorimetric, double-antibody Sandwich ELISA format, the kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.625–40 ng/mL. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity in serum ranges from 89–104% (1:2), 89–100% (1:4), and 91–103% (1:8); in EDTA plasma, 83–94%, 85–97%, and 87–99%; and in heparin plasma, 85–96%, 88–97%, and 86–99%. Average recovery is 94% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 97% for heparin plasma.
