Human Butyrophilin subfamily 2 member A1/BTN2A1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human Butyrophilin subfamily 2 member A1 (BTN2A1). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is calibrated for human reactivity, recognising both natural and recombinant forms of the target protein.

Compatible sample matrices include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit delivers a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Linearity has been validated across dilution ratios from 1:2 to 1:16, with recoveries ranging from 91-120% in serum, 100-117% in EDTA plasma and 92-115% in heparin plasma. Mean recovery is 103% (range 97-109%) for serum and 105% (range 99-111%) for plasma.

BTN2A1, also known by the synonyms BT2.1 and BTF1, is encoded on chromosome 6p22.1 and is a single-pass type I membrane protein involved in lipid, fatty-acid and sterol metabolism. The product is intended for research use only. Kit components are stored at -20°C (microplate strips, lyophilised standard, diluents and detection reagents) or 4°C (wash buffer, substrate and stop solution). The standard protocol involves incubation at 37°C with absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
