Human BST2 (Bone marrow stromal antigen 2) ELISA Kit (HUFI04601)

The Human BST2 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of bone marrow stromal antigen 2 (also known as Tetherin, CD317, or HM1.24) in human serum and EDTA-plasma specimens. BST2 is an interferon-induced type II transmembrane glycoprotein best characterized for its role in innate antiviral immunity, where it physically tethers budding enveloped virions—including HIV-1—to the host cell surface and restricts their release from infected cells. The protein is also constitutively expressed on plasma cells and has been studied in multiple myeloma biology, where elevated BST2 levels correlate with tumor burden and serve as a marker of plasma cell differentiation. Investigators working on viral restriction mechanisms, interferon-stimulated gene responses, and B-cell or myeloma malignancies commonly use this assay to quantify circulating BST2. The microplate is pre-coated with anti-BST2 capture antibody and supplied with biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP reagents, alongside recombinant BST2 protein standards for standard curve generation across a working range of 0.156–10 ng/mL. Reconstituted components should be kept refrigerated and protected from light, while lyophilized standards are best stored frozen; aliquoting the conjugate after first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
