Human Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Brain Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of BNP in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants using a sandwich format on a standard microplate reader. BNP is a 32-amino-acid cardiac hormone released by ventricular myocytes in response to volume and pressure overload, and circulating BNP concentrations are routinely studied as a biomarker of congestive heart failure, left ventricular dysfunction, and broader cardiovascular research.

Reported performance characteristics include a working detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL, intra-assay precision under 10 percent CV, and inter-assay precision under 12 percent CV, using a 100 uL sample volume per well. The kit is supplied as a 96-well strip plate pre-coated with anti-BNP capture antibody, together with biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized recombinant BNP standards, assay diluent, wash buffer concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution.

Unopened components should be stored at 2 to 8 degrees C; once reconstituted, standards and antibody working solutions should be kept at -20 degrees C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The assay is validated for research use only in human samples and is not intended for diagnostic procedures.
