Human BPI (Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein) CLIA Kit (HUES00379)

Assay Genie provides a chemiluminescence-based immunoassay designed for the quantitative determination of Human BPI (Bactericidal Permeability-Increasing Protein) in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research applications and supports investigation of BPI as a biomarker of innate immunity, bacterial infection, and inflammatory or immune-related disease.

The assay follows a sandwich-CLIA format with a total run time of 4.5h. Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 7.50 pg/mL, a detection range of 12.50-800 pg/mL, and a recommended sample volume of 100μL. The kit recognizes Human BPI with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues, and the manufacturer reports both intra-assay and inter-assay CV values below 15%. Reported recovery averages 98% (range 92-106%) for serum, 97% (range 91-102%) for EDTA plasma, and 98% (range 93-106%) for cell culture media.

The microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human BPI. Bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-HRP conjugate, with signal generated by chemiluminescent substrate and read as Relative Light Units on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer.
