BOP1 (Block of Proliferation 1) is a nucleolar protein that functions as part of the PeBoW complex (Pes1-Bop1-WDR12), where it drives the endonucleolytic processing of 27S pre-rRNA into mature 5.8S and 28S ribosomal RNA species.
