Human Bone sialoprotein 2 (IBSP) ELISA Kit

Linearity in serum spans 102-112%, 104-114%, 95-105% and 80-90% at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 respectively. EDTA plasma shows linearity of 91-101%, 106-114%, 99-109% and 98-107% across the same dilutions, while heparin plasma yields 85-96%, 105-115%, 105-114% and 99-109%. Recovery averages 82% (range 80-88%) in serum and 84% (range 80-90%) in plasma.

Functionally, IBSP binds tightly to hydroxyapatite and forms an integral part of the mineralized matrix, supporting cell-matrix interaction and promoting Arg-Gly-Asp-dependent cell attachment. The protein is secreted, is categorized under the research area of metabolism, and participates in processes including osteoblast differentiation and biomineral formation.
