Human Bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate quantification of human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4 (BMP4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant human BMP4 and is intended for research use only.

BMP4 is a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta superfamily that induces cartilage and bone formation, and also acts in mesoderm induction, tooth development, limb formation and fracture repair. Dysregulation of BMP4 signaling has been linked to skeletal abnormalities, cancer progression and other diseases, supporting research applications in bone development, cancer biology and regenerative medicine.

The kit delivers a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.6pg/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Recovery in serum averages 103% (range 97-109%) and in plasma averages 105% (range 99-111%). Linearity is characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.
