Human Bone morphogenetic protein 1 (BMP1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human Bone morphogenetic protein 1 (BMP1) ELISA Kit is a Sandwich ELISA for the quantitative detection of BMP1 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human BMP1, which has synonyms including Mammalian tolloid protein, Procollagen C-proteinase, mTld, PCP, BMP-1, and PCOLC.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.7%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions. Recovery is reported as 94-106% for serum and 96-108% for plasma.

BMP1 cleaves the C-terminal propeptides of procollagen I, II and III, induces cartilage and bone formation, and is responsible for the proteolytic activation of lysyl oxidase LOX. The kit is for research use only and is relevant to signal transduction research.
