Human BMX ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody platform for the quantitative detection of BMX (Bone Marrow X Kinase), a non-receptor tyrosine kinase, in human samples. The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate for a colorimetric readout at 450 nm. The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards, samples and a zero control onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37 °C for 90 minutes. After biotinylated detection antibody binding (37 °C, 60 min) and HRP-Streptavidin binding (37 °C, 30 min), TMB substrate is added for 10–20 minutes in the dark, the reaction is stopped, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Dilutional linearity (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) for serum is reported as 88–104%, 85–103% and 86–99%; for EDTA plasma 90–99%, 92–98% and 86–100%; and for heparin plasma 83–99%, 88–97% and 88–99% (n = 5). Recovery in serum averages 92% (range 86–101%), in EDTA plasma 94% (range 86–100%) and in heparin plasma 95% (range 88–103%).

Reactivity is limited to human samples, and the kit is listed for the Cell Death research area. BMX is also known by the synonyms ETK, NTK38 and PSCTK3 and corresponds to UniProt entry P51813. Kit components should be stored at 2–8 °C, with the microplate strips and lyophilized standard additionally suitable for 12-month storage at –20 °C, and light-sensitive reagents protected from direct light as indicated.
