Human BMP4 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich (Double Antibody) ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of BMP4 (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4) in human samples. The assay is reactive with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid biological samples.

The double-antibody sandwich format uses a pre-coated capture antibody and a biotin-conjugated detection antibody, followed by HRP-Streptavidin binding and TMB substrate development. Absorbance is read at 450 nm, with target concentration calculated from a standard curve. The kit offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity in serum spans 85–105%, in EDTA plasma 84–98%, and in heparin plasma 81–99%, while recovery averages 95% for serum, 100% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma.

BMP4 functions as a key signalling molecule in embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and bone formation, with dysregulation implicated in skeletal disorders, heart abnormalities, and cancer, making accurate quantification valuable for disease mechanism and biomarker research. Reagents are intended for storage at 2–8°C and the kit is shipped on ice packs.
